This image was produced while the Level Two participants were taking a break. One aim for the group was to create a proper circle. During that particular break, I felt the need to produce an image of our circle, our work space, our home for the duration of the course. Clearly our break was long enough for me to retrieve a camera from another floor in the building.
The window side of the circle included what I always referred to as “the hydra.” A portable space heater, it was used to mitigate the low temperatures in the Level Two room. There was an hour of work in which a Level Two participant returned to the room. He had another commitment that caused him to leave shortly after we began work. Upon his return (approximately thirty minutes later), his immediate comment was: “Have you been in here this whole time?!?” This comment (directed to the group) was prompted by the scent of gas that someone who walked into the room would notice.
This image depicts one of my roommates at his bunk. The three of us were located just inside the Level One corridor. The room was spacious albeit incredibly cold.
